If you have a portable Apple device (iPhone, iPod touch, iPad, iPad mini), open the App Store and enter “hubiC” in the search field. Simply click on “FREE”, then click on the download icon. See the application in the App Store.
If a hubiC app update is released, you will be alerted by a notification from your App Store. We advise you to carry out all updates, in order to benefit from the latest features and corrections of any bugs.
The hubiC app allows any file formats supported by the device operating system (iOS) to be displayed. For files that are not supported, you can use applications that are dedicated for accessing specific file formats.
You can display photos from the same album in full screen and scroll through them by sliding your finger from right to left (to see next photo) or left to right (to see previous photo). To launch the slide show, simply open a photo by clicking on it.
Not at the moment.
Simply press the “Add” button with the “+” sign. The selected file/s will be deposited in the current directory or the root folder of your hubiC (depending on where you are). For example, you can deposit photos and videos from your phone on hubiC, so you can access them from your computer or share them with friends and family more easily.
Go to “Settings”, then “Privacy”. Select “Photos” then activate authorisation to allow the hubiC app to access your photos.
To create a new folder, press on the “Add” button with the “+” sign. You can choose the name of the new folder (directory), and it will be created in the current directory or the root folder of your hubiC (depending on where you are).
This option will be available on the iOS app soon.
Touch the file you want to share so that it opens. When it is open, click the “Actions” button, then choose “Share with hubiC”. The share link can be copied and shared on the social networks using the appropriate apps or you can also choose to send it by email or SMS. NB – it is not possible to share a folder using the iOS application.
Press on the shared file (indicated by the blue coloured file name) to open it. When it is open, click on the “Actions” button, then choose “Share with hubiC”. Press on the cross to cancel the publication. The share is deleted immediately, and the link you had sent to your family and friends will lead to a blank page. The file name will return to the usual colour (black), indicating that the file is no longer being shared.
Press on the file to open it. When it is open, click on the “Actions” button, then choose “Open in”. You will then be able to choose the application you want to use to retrieve and open your file.
Go to your application settings and deactivate the “Display thumbnails” option.
The hubiC mobile apps allow you to view the files stored on your hubiC account. However, not all the files contained on your hubiC space will be downloaded to your device. Only the files you choose to view will be downloaded at the time of opening. This is why the hubiC apps only use up a limited amount of memory.
The application uses the phone's available cache memory to store the accessed files. If you want to free up this cache memory, you will need to log out of the app.
Yes, and it's even more advisable if you haven't set up a code for the phone itself. Imagine you lose your phone – whether it gets stolen or an ill-intentioned person grabs it when your back is turned – without a locking code, all your files on hubiC could be accessed. To activate the locking function with a 4-digit code, go to the application settings.
The application does not require you to enter your login details (email address and password) every time you open it, provided that you authenticated yourself initially. If you want to end your session, go to the application settings and choose “Log out”. You will then need to enter you login details the next time you use the hubiC application.
