Your files are copied on servers hosted in 3 OVH datacentres in France, located in Gravelines. You can retrieve your files with the same hierarchical file structure and classification, using any device connected to internet via the web application or the hubiC apps for PCs, smartphones and tablets. To access your files, simply log in to your hubiC account using your email address and password. Once you are logged in, the hubiC app will allow you to browse your files and download your documents, to move, rename and delete them, and of course, to add new ones.
Your data will be stored and preserved for the entire duration of your subscription to hubiC. If you have a 25 GB discovery account, your data will be stored with no time limit, unless, of course, you decide to delete it or to close your hubiC account.
All your data is transferred to and safeguarded in the OVH private Cloud, which has proven reliability. This infrastructure enables us to handle any potential hardware problem. The storage spaces and servers are, in fact, fully redundant. Even in the event of a disk failure, you can thus be sure of accessing your data: another storage space containing the same data is ready to take over, without the slightest service disruption. Our datacentre technicians are on site 24/7, 365 days a year. Thanks to an alert system, our server maintenance is guaranteed at any hour of the day and the night, even during the New Year festivities. This system ensures that our immediate attention will be given in the event of a technical incident, and our customers are informed in real time as the situation evolves via http://status.ovh.co.uk
In order to protect your data on hubiC, we recommend that you choose a secure password. Ideally, it should contain 8 characters, which includes upper and lower case letters, numbers and even symbols. Do not create obvious passwords such as “123456”, “password”, or those containing personal information that can easily be accessed, such as your date of birth or phone number.
We advise you to login to the web application and change your password. To do this, after you have logged in, click on your email address in top right hand corner of the window then click on “Change password”. You will be emailed a message containing a link to change your hubiC password. The change of password will effectively disconnect the hubiC application on the mobile device you have lost, thus protecting your data from unauthorised access.
